For more information about how we process personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files that websites may store on your device when you visit them.
Websites may also use other browser-based technologies, including localStorage and sessionStorage, which allow information or preferences to be stored in your browser.
These technologies can serve different purposes, including enabling essential website functions, maintaining security, remembering preferences and, where applicable, measuring website usage.
2. Technologies Used by Becoming 366
Becoming 366 currently aims to use only technologies necessary for website functionality, security and the user experience described in this policy.
We do not currently use cookies for behavioural advertising or personalised advertising on becoming366.com.
If this changes in the future, this Cookie Policy and any required consent mechanism will be updated accordingly.
3. Local Browser Storage
Becoming 366 uses local browser storage for certain website features.
For example, localStorage may be used to remember interactions such as whether a Journal entry has already been read so that interface elements such as the “NEW” indicator can behave correctly.
Local storage may also be used to remember certain interface choices, such as whether particular website elements have already been displayed, dismissed or completed.
This information is stored in your browser and is used to provide the relevant website functionality or improve your experience on the site.
You can remove locally stored information through your browser settings. Doing so may reset certain website preferences or interface states.
4. Cloudflare
Becoming 366 uses Cloudflare for website infrastructure, DNS, content delivery, performance and security.
Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies in connection with security, network management and protection against malicious traffic.
These technologies may be necessary to provide and protect the website and are not used by Becoming 366 for behavioural advertising.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregated website usage, such as visits, page views, referrers and basic page performance.
Cloudflare Web Analytics uses a lightweight JavaScript beacon provided through our Cloudflare Pages hosting. According to Cloudflare, this service does not use cookies or localStorage for analytics purposes on our website and is not used by Becoming 366 for behavioural advertising.
For additional information about Cloudflare’s processing practices, please refer to Cloudflare’s own privacy and cookie information.
5. MailerLite and The Becoming Letter
Becoming 366 uses MailerLite to manage subscriptions to The Becoming Letter.
MailerLite forms and related functionality may use cookies or browser storage to operate the signup process and, where applicable, to remember whether a form or popup has already been displayed or submitted.
For example, when a newsletter popup is active, browser storage or cookies may help prevent the same popup from being shown repeatedly according to its configured display settings.
These technologies support the operation and user experience of the subscription functionality.
MailerLite maintains its own privacy and cookie information describing its technologies and processing practices.
6. Strictly Necessary Technologies
Some cookies or similar technologies may be strictly necessary for the website to function securely and correctly.
These may include technologies required for:
- website security;
- network and traffic management;
- fraud or abuse prevention;
- delivering requested website functionality;
- maintaining technical stability; and
- remembering certain actions necessary for a feature requested by the visitor.
Where applicable law permits, strictly necessary technologies may operate without prior consent because the relevant service or functionality could not properly be provided without them.
7. Analytics and Advertising Cookies
Becoming 366 uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-oriented analytics service, to understand aggregated website usage such as visits, page views and referrers.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies or localStorage on our website and is not used for behavioural advertising or personalised advertising.
Becoming 366 does not currently intentionally use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar advertising or behavioural tracking technologies on becoming366.com.
We do not currently use cookies on this website to build advertising profiles or deliver personalised advertising.
If we introduce additional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and implement an appropriate consent mechanism before using those technologies where required by applicable law.
8. Managing Cookies and Browser Storage
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Most browsers allow you to:
- view stored cookies;
- delete cookies;
- block some or all cookies;
- configure cookie permissions for individual websites; and
- clear locally stored website data.
You can also clear localStorage and other website data through your browser’s privacy or site-data settings.
Blocking or deleting strictly necessary website data may cause some website features or preferences to stop working or reset.
9. External Websites
Becoming 366 contains links to external websites and platforms, including Etsy and potentially other third-party services.
When you follow an external link, the destination website may use its own cookies and tracking technologies.
Those technologies are controlled by the relevant third party and are governed by that third party’s privacy and cookie practices, not this Cookie Policy.
10. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the website, technologies we use or applicable legal requirements change.
When changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be updated.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically if you would like to stay informed about the technologies used by Becoming 366.
